Regular Lunch Service
If you are interested in playing an important role in our work of building homes for families in the Edmonton area, you could bring a meal for some of the volunteers who come out to help build (Tues.–Sat.). We provide our volunteers with a delicious lunch through the generosity of faith groups, community groups, businesses, and individuals. Lunches will need to serve between 20-25 people.
Cookie Brigade
Our volunteers love home-baked cookies for dessert! With approximately 25 people on the build site year-round, that’s over 8,000 cookies! Baking cookies for Habitat is a great way for youth groups, seniors, families and clubs to help us out.
The Details: What’s for lunch?
Suggested meal items include stews, soups, casseroles, cold meats, salads, pasta dishes, a BBQ, sandwiches or hot or cold veggies. And of course, desserts are always appreciated.
Individuals and groups who provide meals for volunteers are also asked to provide cold drinks, foam cups and plates, napkins, cutlery and serving utensils.
Please note: meals are served buffet style, outdoors, in a trailer, or at the Habitat Centre. There are no facilities for washing up. Our build sites are generally in north Edmonton.
